This Privacy Policy explains how FetConect collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. It applies to the website at fetconect.com and all related services.
FetConect is an adult platform. We treat your privacy accordingly. We do not sell your personal information. We do not show targeted advertising to third parties. We collect the minimum data required to operate the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account data: email address, password (hashed with scrypt), display name
- Profile data: age or date of birth, location, physical characteristics, interests, fetish preferences, relationship status, match options you choose to disclose
- Content you post: photos, galleries, messages, comments
- Payment data: processed by our payment provider. We receive transaction confirmations and identifiers, not full card numbers.
- Communications: support messages you send us
Information collected automatically
- Session data: IP address, user agent, session tokens
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, timestamps
- Location data: only if you explicitly share it via the browser Geolocation API. Location is rounded to roughly 111 meters before storage. Distances shown to other members are rounded up to the nearest 250 meters.
Information from third parties
- Payment processor: confirmation that a subscription was created, renewed, or cancelled.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate your account and provide the Service
- To display your profile to other members according to your privacy settings
- To enable discovery, search, and matching features you opt into
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, receipts)
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and illegal content
- To comply with legal obligations, including 18 U.S.C. § 2257 record-keeping
- To improve the Service through aggregate analytics
3. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- We do not share your email address with other members.
- We do not display your exact location.
- We do not read your private messages for advertising purposes.
- We do not use facial recognition on your photos.
- We do not track you across other websites.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share information only in the following cases:
With other members
Your profile, photos, and public activity are visible to other members according to your privacy settings. You control what is visible. Private favourites, private galleries, and visitor settings are honoured.
With service providers
- Database hosting: Neon (PostgreSQL)
- Media hosting: Bunny.net (content delivery)
- Email delivery: Resend
- Payment processing: emerchantpay or successor provider
- DNS and DDoS protection: Cloudflare
Each provider operates under its own privacy terms and processes only the data necessary for its function.
For legal reasons
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of FetConect, our members, or the public. We will notify affected members where legally permitted.
Business transfer
If FetConect is acquired or merged, member data may transfer to the acquiring entity. Members will be notified of any material change in privacy practices at least 30 days in advance.

6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: retained while your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: personal data is purged within 30 days. Backups containing deleted data are purged within 90 days.
- Legal retention: certain records (payment records, 2257 compliance records) are retained longer as required by law.
- Messages: deleted by either party from their view; the other party's copy remains until they delete.
7. Security
- Passwords are hashed with scrypt and never stored in plaintext
- All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS
- Sessions are signed JWTs verified against a database record
- Database access is restricted to application servers
- We conduct periodic security reviews
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Children
The Service is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we terminate it immediately and delete associated data.
9. International Transfers
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States and European Union. If you access the Service from another region, your data will be transferred to and processed in those regions. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for EU-to-US transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes are communicated by email or through the Service at least 14 days before they take effect.
